Ida Jane Foust was born on August 14, 1956 in Findlay, Ohio. She was the daughter of Franklin Foust and Fran Shoemaker. Her other siblings were Audrey Louise Heslop and Richard Foust. She was a member of the Methodist Church and played basketball in college. She was a gifted athlete and played basketball in small colleges in Kansas. She and Ken were married half a year later. Ida remained in Ken and his family’s life until she was killed by a pickup truck in Findlay, Ohio.
