Tiwa Savage is one of the most successful and richest musicians in Nigeria and Africa. She has been nominated for numerous awards, including three Grammys, and has created several projects that are good for the environment and people. Although she was once thought to have little hope of success in the music industry, she has become one of the biggest female artists to grace the continent.
Before starting her career, Tiwa Savage had previously worked as a background singer for Whitney Houston. She later joined Don Jazzy’s Marvin Records, where she released several singles and collaborated with other artistes. In addition to her music, she also has several endorsement deals, including one with Pepsi Nigeria and a partnership with Pampers.
Savage was born in Lagos, Nigeria, but moved to London when she was eleven years old. After attending primary and secondary school in Nigeria, she continued her studies in the United Kingdom. She studied at the University of Kent, where she earned a degree in accounting. She then went on to work for the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Tiwa Savage began her professional singing career in 2009, when she signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Since then, she has written songs for many artists, including R&B singer Fantasia. In 2010, Tiwa Savage received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female R&B Artist.
